The Port of Tarragona has recently joined ECG. The port has a solid experitse in FVL, having been the entry port for South Korean vehicles (Huynday, KIA) to Spain for over 20 years and the distribution hub of those and additional brands, such as Volkswagen, thorough the Iberian Peninsula. In addition, it is the export port for some models from the PSA Group.
The Port has excellent accessibility by rail with two terminals prepared to manage trains up to 750m in both European and Iberian gauge located next door to 975,000m2 dedicated to that traffic, 520,000 of which in exclusivity. The port's premises have room just short of 50,000 vehicles, 16,200 of which with hail protection. Other facilitities in this part of the port include PDI, garage, 5 Ro-Ro ramps or the soon-to-be-working Logistics Activity Area (920,000 m2).
